We officially moved into a hotel today. The upside my bed will be made everyday, the downside...five people in a hotel room. Our count down to when we fly out to Portugal is now only ten days. The surreal feeling is not so surreal anymore.
A few words to describe my current state - overwhelmed, running a million miles a minute, tired, nostalgic, but overall so very thankful.
The one, and probably only upside to moving away, is that people go out of their way to tell you what you mean to them. I could go on and on about the ways others have expressed their thoughts and wishes for us. My heart swells from all of the love I feel from the others God has placed in our lives. I have been soaking up the dinners, emails, gifts, prayers, and helpful hands. It is such a bittersweet time. A time that I will look back and reflect on for sure.
As we start fresh in this new year I look forward to sharing much more about organizing when it comes to your health and home. I am very thankful that you have joined with me and I hope to bless you in some small way.
I'll leave you with this.
"Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every new year find you a better person." - Benjamin Franklin
We've been in this place before too and "bittersweet" is exactly right! Enjoy your last days here and I'm excited to see what adventures await in your new home!
